The best pet we ever had was a grey squirrel. There had been tree felling near our house and we found Nutty as a tiny squeaking lost baby..After leaving out some milk and bread we returned to find him or her an hour later still abandoned with probably little hope of finding his or her family again.Nutty stayed with us for over a year completely free to go out the window down the outside wall and play in the nearby trees. He came home most of the day for food and enjoyed swinging on the flap at the foot of our curtains which had never been sewn up.Nutty came in the basket for picnics and would run about while we had sandwiches,we would then call Nutty and he or she hopped back into the basket. When we had our first human baby we passed Nutty on to friends who provided a shed at the bottom of their garden ,coming back with an entire family later.
The most wonderful pet we have ever had .

When I was little and wanted a baby brother, my mom said that we could go to the pet store and buy a puppy.

Rabbits are the best. I didn't think I'd like them that much, but my kids begged me for them, we all really enjoy them. We take them out of the cage every night and let them run around in the backyard. The kids take good care of them and it teaches them responsibility about owning and caring for a pet. We love them, they're the most spoiled bunnies ever!

Rats! They are contained to thier cage when you are busy, they cuddle, stay little, eat almost anything you can eat, and are really fun to watch. You have to get them when they are babies, so they get used to you, but, do a little research and you'll see they make great pets. The only downside is they don't live very long.

we have six dogs, three cats, a monkey, pigeons, and a small alligator. the least trouble comes from the alligator, although I'd like to try raising an albino burmese python in the future. get a dog - dogs are loyal.

I think the best one is a Boxer. I had one and she was like a child to me. She was sweet and loving and became a clone of me! They're great with kids, too!

a rabbit. they are really pretty smart, believe it or not. i keep mine on my closed in back porch. he lives in his cardboard box. give them an old phone book and they will chew on it for fun. they use a litter box too! all you got to feed them is rabbit food. they get little personalities also. mine is so cute and cuddly I'll rub him until he goes into his trance. it's so funny. try one you will love it!
