If this fella is really ringing the necks of chickens, and eating the meat or giving it away, this is OK. God gave us meat to eat! Ringing the necks is a very effective way to kill a chicken used for food. I would talk to your neighbor about it, a little communication is a good thing, and remember that sometimes even if we do not agree with something doesn't make it wrong. If the chickens are used for meat, it is ok, even if you do not agree. If this fella is doing this for the wrong reason, you need to call the ASPCA, Not PETA! PETA is just a group like any other with a stong BELIEF in the treatment of animals, their views can sometimes hurt animals more than make life on earth better. Be informed, knowledge can never be taken away from you.

Just in case you're serious, I feel the need to let you know that "choking your chicken" is another term for masturbating. So no, PETA should not get involved.
If he is actually choking barnyard chickens, I'd talk to him about it before sending PETA in. Is he then eating the chickens, and this is the most humane way to kill them? Or is he just killing them for fun?

If he is choking his chicken so it can be eaten, then no, don't report him. It is alright to choke a chicken it if it going to be served later in a dish. But if he is choking his chicken for the fun of it, then yes , you should report him. It is unlawful to choke a chicken just to watch it spit and die. That could be called animal abuse.

If it is barnyard chickens and he is eating them,you either break their necks,chop their heads off or choke them.That is just farm life. Mind your own business. Do you think the ones in the grocery store just roll over and die so you can eat them.

Was this in self defense? I had a Rooster would try to spur me when my back was turned. So, I would watch him out of the corner of my eye. One day, here he came! I turned around and kicked him off his feet and played soccer with him (Gently, not want to hurt), it not stop him from doing this, but, now we get to interact more and play soccer together.
