I heard that the movie 'Childs Play' was banned due to the Jamie Buldger incident a long time ago. I watched it in Japan and it doesn't even have an 18 rating there. Was it actually banned though or am I just dreaming it?

Yes It Was At The Time But Its Not Now,
When The Film First Came Out It Was Shown Then Band But Now It Is Been Shown But Not On Terrestrial TV So That Means You Could See It On Sky, Pay Per-View, Or Free-View But You Wont See It On BBC 1 &2 ITV1 Channel 4 Or Channel 5,

Do you mean solely England or do you also include Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. If so, I suggest you refer to us as the UK. I don't live in England but I don't think it was banned here. Kicked up a bit of a fuss right enough due to the Jamie Bulger case (in England).

there was a lot of hot air about this film but then the media loves to blame fantasy for all societies crimes. it was taken off the shelves but not banned. i thought Adams family 2 was more disturbing to be honest when two children repeatedly try and kill a baby. i think it came out about the same time as the Buldger murder. we shall never know what made them kill but one of them did look like Damian.

Childs Play was released years before the Jamie Bulger incident and it was never or has been banned.

I believe Child's Play 3 was banned after the Jamie Bulger murder but it is now rereleased

I think you might be dreaming. It was never banned here. Although I wish it had been, my sister had a Cricket doll which scared the living daylights out of me after seeing that film !

The film was withdrawn from release for a while voluntary but it was never officially banned in the UK. The film is back on general release.

It was banned after a child was killed by other children in kinda the same way as chucky kills in his films
It was horrific, and the monstors are out there living amongst us after bein freed when they turned 18
