Ah... Sansevieria trifasciata var. Laurentii.. Another common name for them is Variegated Snake Plant. =)

They actually can tolerate sunny areas as they are succulents; Water-tolerant.
On the other hand, they are also comfortable to be planted in partial sun or shady area. From my experience, the best location to place it, is in a partial sun.

Firstly, ask yourself, where initially did you get your plant from? Nursery? Try to find out where it was kept initially. By doing so, you can find out if you have shocked the plant.

In this case, i think that it is always in a partial sun / shady area initially. Hence, after buying, you just place it in the sun, they cannot adapt at all. It's like asking a eskimo to live in South east asia country! =) You need to acclimatize your plants slowly.

With your situation, i don't know if they are dying. Check if there is any new shoots coming from the soil. If there is, you are doing perfectly fine. What do you mean by the leaves are leaning over? You mean, the leaves curled? I'm not sure..

But i've searched and provided you some links which you could read more about this plant.

I hope what i've provided you are sufficient and informative in helping you a step further. =)

A very good luck in your survival of your plant... Just don't worry too much. Give your plant and yourself 1 month time to recover.

That's all folks.

They are supposed to be kept in the semi-shade half sun half shade why did you put it in morning sun? Get it out of there ,soak it and hope for the best. Good luck and god bless.
