Yes, you may just only be a couple of weeks and you may not have enough hormone in your system, wait a couple of weeks and do another test.

I have been doing a lot of research on that, and I have found that approxiametly 10% of women do not produce enough HCG until the third or fourth month of pregnancy to even pass a HPT! It is amazing how often women don't even know they are pregnant because all of the tests keep coming back negative. I don't know if that even pertains to your question, but I thought I would share it. I have found a website that supports women who cannot confirm a pregnancy via testing, but are physically sure. I don't have it now, but if you would be interested please specify in your extra info box and I'll send it to you later. :)
I went back to some questions that I have answered and here are some people's responses to similar questions:
okay i was seven months when i found out i was pregnant with my youngest i had regular periods and lost two stone so its possible to be pregnant and not know
My mom did w/ all of her pregnancies. She could take a test when she was ready to give birth & it would still say negative.
yes i done 8 pregancy tests because i was putting on wieght around the tummy. i had my periods as well. i tries to diet but it didn;t work in the end i went to the docs to ask for yet another pregnancy test and she asked my to lie down she she could have a feel of my stomach. when she told my i was and that i was about 7 months. i had the shock of my life because i was only 18 years old. but 7 years on and i'm really happy and have another child.
I didn't find out that I was pregnant until I was almost 5 months, as i'd been having what seemed like 'normal' periods for the first 4 months. I was also on the pill.
I was always one of those people who scoffed at the idea, and said that a person couldn't possibly not know that they're pregnant. I was wrong though.....these things do happen.
Wait a week and do another test. Good luck. I hope you get the result you want.

Yes, its very possible.
I took a home pregnancy test and the results were positive. I wasnt totally convinced, so a week later I went to have a blood test. It came back negative. Of course, I believed the blood test.
A few weeks later, I couldnt believe how weird I was feeling. I went to the doctor, I was seven weeks pregnant.
Explain that if they are supposedly always 100 percent accurate.
yeah, it could be wrong. It wouldnt hurt to take it again or see your OB

If you've missed your period, there should be enough hgc in your blood to get a positive test result. Pregnancy tests using blood are far more sensitive than urine tests. You might want a retest just to be sure, but if the symptoms persist, your doctor should do additional testing to rule out other causes that mimic pregnancy symptoms.

A test done at the doctors surprisingly is not as reliable as the tests that you can buy over the counter from the chemist these are signs of pregnancy so i should get a test from the chemist.
