I am looking for music to help me stay in this depression for a litle longer. Any suggestions will help. I would prefer actual songs, not "anything on this album". Please also look at the answers that were already given. please no duplicates

Oh for christ's sake, this is hard! Here are some of the more accessible staples that I have (huge gaps and omissions)

Portishead:
Roads

PJ Harvey:
Angelene
The River
This Mess We're In
The Darker Days of Me & Him

The Cure: TOO MANY
The Figurehead
From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea
Burn

Beck: Lonesome Tears (and much of the Sea Change album)

Ours: ("anything on this album" Distorted Lullabies)
Fallen Souls
Here is the Light
If Flowers Turn

Deathcab for Cutie:
Marching Bands of Manhattan

Mazzy Star:
Fade Into You

Sigur Ros: just get the album with the ( ) on front!

Blue October depending on what your depressed about like "Quiet Mind" or "18th Floor Balcony", "Let It Go" or anything on their new 'Foiled' album
Death Cab For Cutie is a good one too...I have to say the entire album, but "Summer Skin", I Will Follow You Into The Dark" and "What Sarah Said"
Let me know if these work out for you.

Wow, there are a bunch. Being just plain depressed is no good. Working out feelings through listening to music that fits your mood is actually very helpful. Of course Evanescence is one of the leaders of working out emotions.Others include Blue October, Collective Soul, Hinder, Kelly Clarkson, Lindsay Lohan, Nickelback, Ryan Huston(tired soecificly), and sometimes Pink. That is just a few of my choices.

Country songs. I thought everyone already knew that. Vince Gill is a good one, if your depressed about love. Good luck staying in your depressed mode. I always thought it was harder to get out of depression than it is to stay in it.

I have no earthly idea why you would want to become depressed, but not just any country music will do. The newer stuff is a bit too upbeat to want to be depressed. Find a country music classics station.

Paul Simon's Graceland

"she comes back to tell me shes gone as if i didn't know that as if didn't know my own bed as if i never notice the way she brushed her hair from her forehead"

She said losing love is like a window in your heart everybody sees your blown apart everybody feels the wind blow

Try James Blunt's CD. A lot of those songs are depressing!
