I want to become one of the appraisers on Antiques Roadshow. How do I get into this career path?

`That may be the only use for a Art History college major. Also, get a job in an antiques store.

Simple.

1) Go read books on antiques.
2) When you feel you're good enough, write articles on how to conduct antique appraisals. You can then submit these articles to article submission sites like http://www.ezinearticles.com and http://www.goarticles.com

3) Get a professional resume provider to touch up your resume. If you do not have budget and don't mind a few knocks and a few wasted interview trips you could try to figure it out yourself. Include the article title and urls in your resume.

3) You are now ready to approach the companies and start applying for jobs.

First, you need to be really knowledgable on antiques. Then start going to shows with a mentor and appraise with them. Once you are good enough, go out on your own.
