1) Zouk (Velvet Underground) - Great Music and there's a reason for it to still remain the top club in SIngapore after more than a decade. (Opens till 3am)

2) Ministry of Sound - You will be utterly disappointed if you have been to the rest. One of those clubs you just want to visit once and never return. Best to go with a group of your friends.
(Opens till 3am)

3) St. James Powerhouse - An entertainment complex with various clubs with different concepts and a posh Karaoke club. Newly established. (Opens till 5am)

4) Clarke Quay - A stretch of clubs and restaurants. Newly renovated. Among them the hippest clubs are Attica, Forbidden City, One Night Stand and Marakeesh. (Opens till 3am)
Attica : Attica 1 and Attica too with the latter boasting Ipiza's DJ.
Forbidden City: Cafe concept at the outdoors, New Age music playing in the Indoors and deeper inside a seperate room with temperature at freezing point.
One Night Stand: Hosting very happening live bands and stand up comedies at different nights.
Marakeesh: Middle Eastern themed chill-out club.

5) Boat Quay - A stretch of pubs with a rawdier and let-loose ambience. Beers are cheaper here and you may get a chance to bargain on the price of a jug of beer with the door ***** before enter. Opens till 9am (some).

6) Babyface - At One Fullerton. Canto Music. Get a feel of how the local will celebrate the night. (Opens till 5am.)

7) Orchard Tower - Various clubs with cheap drinks,great live music and girls to entertain. You will be approached by mainly Thai and Indonesian girls, a gentleman place. Do keep a lookout not to venture into the wrong clubs,for some are hosting ladyboys.
Opens till 5am.

8) Brix - Basement of Grand Hyatt Hotel with R&B and Reggae music. Great place to get "hooked" with some China girls. Gorgeous and expensive.

9) Thumper - A small club at Goodwood Park Hotel. One of the top 5 clubs in Singapore.

10) Muddy Murphy's - Irish Pub with live music and happening crowd.

Depends what you want to do. There are sophisticated nightclub/rave places such as Zouk or the Liquid Room which have guest DJs from London etc, there are bars along the Singapore river in Boat Quay or Clarke Quay which are much more informal. If you are young and want to mix with the local crowd then there is Mohammed Sultan Road off River Valley Road.

A more relaxed atmosphere can be had in Emerald Hill off Orchard Road, old shophouses with bars in them and if you really want to get seedy you can always go to Orchard towers and get friendly with the Phillipina and Thai girls there.....

I think you made the right choice. I would rather not have been a one night stand. You met this guy at a club and all he probably wanted was sex. You could've just said you were feeling sick, or something like that, and gave him your number to later get to know each other.

MOS or Double O or Zouk... thats the best... but if you wanna just have a pub to drink, and have a life band, try the place called Indo Chine at wisma

There are a lot of bars on the Singapore River. I had a fun time there.
