Because the French are a bunch of arrogant idiots that "claim" to be an ally. We've bailed them out in World War 1 and World War 2 and they repay that with condescending, look down our nose at you criticism. When the time came to take out Saddam, the French resisted joining the U.S. and at first it wasn't clear why, but as the war progressed we discovered that France had sold weapons (missiles) to Saddam as well as did the Russians. The Oil for Food program did not help near as many people in Iraq with the U.N. French ambassador taking millions of dollars for himself. The French are reprehensible and that's why I don't care for them... and I have some French blood in my lineage but I hear-by renounce any connection to the French-- heritage or otherwise!!!
Have a great day!!!

We have become France bashers over the years .
We use to get along great with them and until the last 20 or so years everyone wanted to go to France .Marketing and public opinion has been shaped as America began to create its own wine and gourmet foods .
We no longer like the french wines or diners they over America .
We are better at it then they are .
France offers little America wants and knows this .Forget Paris in spring time and go to Disney world instead .
You have got to love a culturless nation like America that changes every year to some new fad and along the way bashes those who instituted them in the first place .
I suspect french women shave arm pits and wear deodorant but if you take a poll among people many will say they do not .
I have observed over the years that many African American women do not shave and bathe according to the strict American concept of covering ones scent with two showers a day and any nub er of anti-persperiants

It's a revival of an old hatred between Anglo-Saxons and French. There's no rationality to it at all.

In fact some of the fiercest wars took place between Anglo-Normans and French.

Today, these anti-Gallic feelings are inflamed by the very people who are taking advantage of the working classes. I suppose the French ruling class is doing the same thing, being snobby, inciting anti-Moslem feeling, reviving anti-Semetism.

So many of the less educated classes take on this hatred without examining the historical, psychological, and social causes. The powers that be feed this xenophobia, bigotry, and racism in order to distract the masses from the real social evils.

Hopefully, more and more of us can learn what is really behind all of this, and overcome our prejudices and socially induced hatreds.

Because they only think about the country as a whole and not the French people INDIVIDUALLY, many of whom are very nice. There are good people and bad people in France, just like in the U.S.A. and anywhere else.

I personally don't like France's posturing.

I have no problems with French people.

So long as you understand the difference, there will be no further misunderstandings. If you do not understand, then tread lightly.

Because France betrays it's friends.
Because France surrenders to everyone.
Because France can't be trusted.
Because France "cuts and runs".
