Yes they should, will they be allowed in our lifetime or anytime soon? Not a chance in He#l....... This is one of the most exclusive boys clubs in the world and they aren't about to open the clubhouse in Rome to women...

If a woman ever became a "Priest" in the Catholic Church she would correctly be called a Priestess. I do not think that Catholic women want to become Priestesses!

I am not Catholic but I believe the priests' roles are to represent Christ as a shepherding figure to the congregation. A woman would not be able to represent this because she is female. Christ was not.

Why should women even want to be priests in a sect which has excluded them for 2,000 years. If women want to be priests they should choose a more fair minded church. Choose one which shares their own beliefes, not try to change one that plainly doesn't.
The whole point of choosing what church to join should be that it is the one you agree with.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:
The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles, and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed them in their ministry.
The Church recognizes herself to be bound by this choice made by the Lord himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible.
With love in Christ.

I say no. Maybe I am old fashioned but I really believe too much is changing now and that is what is wrong with this world. Some things have to stay the same.

In Opus Dei they're not even allowed to use the front door. Can't see it happening. The RC church has spent 2 millenia putting women down because of Peter & Pauls fear of Mary, so they're hardly going to admit they were wrong.

Sure. Why would a woman be any different in teaching than a man? I would not have any problem with it.
