If getting your period for over 2 weeks is a regular thing for you, i would go on the pill to get your cycle into a regular flow...
or once your period does finish you will probably ovulate a week or 2 after...

I would count your days... On your first day of your period I would start, Day 1. Continue until you get to day 14. I would then start using OPK until you surge. You just need to understand your body. You may not be trying at the right time. I would try this a couple of times until you figure out your cycle. Who knows you may get pregnant right away. Also, something that someone told me is to have sex every other day and that too can help.

Best of Luck... I am interested on how long it will take you to get pregnant after understanding your body.

I've actually had two doctors arguing in the hospital about it. I thought that my last child was conceived in between periods. One doctor said that she has seen it happen more than once. The other doctor said no way..Might I ask how old you are??

You ovulate before your period. Menstruation is when the egg is flushed out.
