It certainly is not, Are you kidding me??
Any group that has Michael Bolton as a co-collaborator/songwriter is not even worthy of a "best Song'
KISS-- The most overrated band ever, take off the makeup, the coolness is gone and then you have mediocre songs and musicians. But that's just my opinion

I suppose if you're a kitten thirsting over a bowl of milk, or a dog who has the good fortune of standing beneath its owner when he or she spills a ladle-full of beef gravy, that song may well be the best of all time.

For the rest of us, however, "Lick It Up" remians merely an amusing little early-80s ditty by the band and, if memory serves, one of the first "post-makeup" Kiss releases. Let it be noted that Vinnie Vincent played guitar on that song -- the same Vinnie Vincent who recently lost a Supreme Court case claiming royalties for his time served in the Kiss Army.

I use to like it when it was out in the 80's, but NO it is NOT by far the best song. It isn't even KISS's best song. If you like KISS, try listening to "I LOVE IT LOUD" & "I STILL LOVE YOU" both on "Creatures Of The Night" album
