When I was little I had a stuffed monkey that I took everywhere... it was my biggest security item and couldn't be separated from it. It got worn and started falling apart and was put away before it got totally ruined. I can remember crying for days. Last year for Christmas my Mom got me an exact replica of that monkey.... it seems simple, but it was probably the most sentimental gift I've ever gotten.

The best thing some one ever did for me was a friend took me to an AL ANON meeting, My life was in chaos because I did not know how to deal with friends and family that had drinking problems, There I found out that their drinking was not my fault and not my place to fix. The biggest gift of this was that I got my life back and have been able to deal with non drinking problems using the wisdom I gained from those meetings. So my friend knew she couldn't help me personally, but found some one that could. Is there any thing better than that, not in my life

being there for me and letting me know they are there for me, good or bad, sunshine or rain...

My dad knows that I am struggling with $$$ at the moment and every other week he comes over, asks for the keys to my van and fills up the gas tank for me, no questions asked. It's easily $70 to fill it up. That shows me he loves and cares for me. He also checks the oil for me, washer fluid, etc. Stuff my husband (who was a mechanic) should do anyway. (long story there)

My sisters/mom can feel my frustrations at times, even if I say nothing, and their hugs mean so much to me, it's as if they are giving me positive vibes, to help heal me, or comfort me. That is a wonderful gift from them.

My children love me always, constantly, unconditionally. That is a great gift.

My friend has given me so much laughter. He moved out of state earlier in the year so we don't see each other, but we do talk on the phone. He has given me many many times of laughter and I am thankful for that gift... for he has helped me more than he will ever know. There were times I felt like giving up on everything and he was himself, caring and making me laugh. I needed it.

My uncle, for telling me that he believed in me. It's one thing to hear it from your parents, because they are suppose to believe in you. I struggled with school these last two years and his words of encouragement and telling me that he believed in me was a wonderful gift.

My husband gave me two wonderful, caring, loving children. Although I don't care for him a whole heck of a lot sometimes, or the things he's done to me, the fact that he isn't a father to these wonderful kids, he provided the DNA for them, if you will. Those kids mean the world to me, even though he can be a putz at times.

There are so many things. But I will keep it short. Once when we were so broke, a friend gave us some serious Mu-la for our Anniversary. My husband gave me a life time of happiness, when he married me. My family treated us out to a nice hotel stay. It was relaxing. When my children do things for me, because they just want to.

My boyfriend knew I loved the "sweet pickles" books when I was little and my favorite book was the Iguana one. He went out and found the book and gave it to me out of the blue. Those books are really hard to find these days so that was a really sweet thing for him to do:)
