It's in a cottage out of town and it will not be heated all winter.

Sears just said disconnect the water and put anti-freeze in it, but won't water be in the wands and stuff too? (They won't give the details because they want a tech to go out there, but that's just not practical in this case!!)

Please help if you've ever had to do this.

Thanks!

How cold is it going to get? The anti-freeze should have some water in it anyway. Gravity should take care of everything but a little water in the bottom.

Use the type that they use in motor homes. Follow the directions on the label.

Even if water is in the wands, it won't do damage. Remember that ice expands, which cracks FULL pipes. As long as there is airspace (plenty of that in an open system like a dishwasher) there is no problem.
