Even more so, I love the smell of wet burning leaves - lots of experience with this being in Girl Scouts. That's a scent you can't duplicate in a candle, like REAL pine tree....

Yep, love it. Takes me back to times at my grandparents house when I was a little kid. Used to go out in the evening to burn the leaves. Oh to be a kid again.
I don't know if they have a candle or not, but I don't think they could ever get the smell right. It's gotta be the real thing!!

I really don't care for the burning leaf smell, but burning wood that is a nice smell. I don't think they make candles that smell like that, there probably isn't much of a market for burning smells.

surely I do, its the cycle of existence of the flora & wood living in nature. The aroma jogs my memory that something in nature is coming to an end yet after living dormant (in iciness) basically around the corner is the initiating of something new (spring). Nature has a manner of renewing itself and restoring itself and additionally you do no longer be conscious this scent in the different time of the 12 months different than in the fall time. I additionally be conscious the aroma of newly grown leaves in the springtime too. Burning wood would not strike a twine in me of a similar strategies that I incredibly have whilst smelling decaying leaves. It jogs my memory that something (a tree) replaced into faraway from the earth.

I do love that smell. I hate the effort it takes to get it especially since we only have one medium sized, beautiful maple tree in our yard but spend several sessions raking up the neighbors oak trees leaves because they are too lazy to do it. I love the smell, though. You can't burn leaves in the town nearby. What a shame. Is it really that polluting?
