Yahoo! posted a story about the 'Duke Lacrosse' rape case. I read quite a few of the comments posted. I noticed that the genders and/or races of those posting the comments were so obvious. Many African-Americans made it obvious they were defending their'sister'. Many Caucasians and/or men made it obvious they resented the 'whites' and males being assumed guilty, (which actually makes sense). Many women assumed the men guilty and the woman raped.

Isn't it terrible when justice is overshadowed by politics? Shouldn't the men be innocent until PROVEN guilty just as in every case, (despite race or sex)? Please, in all honesty, do you view this case with biased eyes? Should guilty men be set free to please Caucasians and/or men? Should innocent men be convicted to appease African-Americans and/or women?

In all honesty here, I could care less about the color of the parties involved, but it does have to do with race. Let's think this for a moment. Had the victim been white-and the suspects been white, what kind of advocacy groups would be out there? How much of the news would be dedicated to the crime? If the victim had been black and the suspects been black? How much attention would have been given to that? Or, if the victim had been white and the supposed attackers had been black, can you imagine all the attention that black advocacy groups would have brought up about how they suspects were accused because they were black? And if any groups have supported the suspects, they would be accused of being racist. Think about the OJ trial, the Kobe Bryant trial. There will never be peace between the races until both sides realize that being pro black is not anti white and being pro white doesn't mean anti black.
I believe the news media and the advocacy groups have really taken advantage of the whole affair.
It has to do with being" polictically correct" rather than "justice."
In all big news events such as this, it seems to be more important for more conflict and news hype rather than a simple trial based upon the evidence.

I don't think this a race issue. If the two dancers were white and one of them alleged she was raped, the three Duke students would still be facing rape charges. I think these guys will be acquitted considering the other dancer is not backing up the "victim's" version of events. Let's stop being PC here and start making women accountable for their choices. They chose to go to a Frat Party where there was drinking going on and strip for these guys. The "victim" said before they started dancing that she expected that they be treated with respect. Hello! The whole idea of what these women do is to get these guys all hot and bothered. If she wants respect, teach Bible classes. Rape is never right or excusable but putting yourself in questionable situations is just playing with fire.

confident. He could be prosecuted and disbarred. He broke the code of ethics by ability of intentionally withholding wisdom that there became NO DNA from the Lacrosse gamers on the accuser. He skipped over the evidence that Seligmann became no longer even on the occasion in the process the alleged rape. This became completely intentional. One inspect this tale and that's crystal sparkling that Nifong acted in his very own interest.

This is a case that proves we will never have peace until we have justice.

There is no evidence against these players, but people want there to be, or they want vengence to right some past wrong.

People should be presumed innocent UNLESS proven guilty. That isn't the case here, and it's tragic.

Whoa there. Your question, "should guilty men be set free to please Caucasians and/or men" is outrageous. I am a white man, and IF the accused men are indeed guilty, I would be outraged if they were set free, no matter their color- just as I was when OJ walked... As far as your last question, of course not. The Salem witch trials are a prime example of that sort of injsutice. But the mob was satisfied...

There is no evidence beyond the word of the stripper, DNA couldn't even prove anything, this is complete politics. Nifong should be sued for wrongful prosecution.

Keep in mind, November Elections are right around the corner. I think certain elected officials are keeping this in the news to get votes.
