Any and ALL anime movies by Miyazaki. My personal favorite is "Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind"
His movies are exceptional, and enjoyable for all ages. I'd also recommend Princess Mononoke. Another excellent movie by Miyazaki!!!

The best anime out there is Bleach. But if that isn't your taste, try Cowboy Bebop. Both are deep while still providing good entertainment.

Maybe shoot fighter or Mirage of Blaze you should check them out their really good. Shoot fighter is a has of action about a kid whose name is Kiichi Miyazawa who has trained hard and long in the secret art of nanshin shadow style, taught by his father, a master of this art and one of the only people left who knows it, and by a grappeling master (the name evades me at this time) has to fight his way through tough Fighters sutch as The Man eater, Jingo the reader and Iron kiba. mirage of blaze is sort of like yuyuhakusho with the sprite energy but cooler but not so much with the hand to hand or as much trash talking.
