English people cannot be English anymore, I couldnt believe my ears the other day when I heard that a woman working for british airways was told to remove her crucifix or hide it under her top as it might offend someone of another race.
What is all that about!!
before people came over to our country they knew what religion we were and what traditional festivals we have over here how is it offending people??
and its not the immigrants or the muslims who complaing either its those politicaly correct people sat in their posh offices thinking up this crap

Way, way too far for normal people like you and me = P
But some people just need some nannying, like those idiots posting chips through the school gate for their kids, what in the name of God are they thinking?
Until the whole of society can make sensible, informed decisions on how to live life (which is never) we will need to be nannied.

Thats what you get when you let a bunch of foriegners come to live in your country and don't promote tolerance and intergration, a bunch of disillusioned, sad, foriegners, who segregate themselves from society, live in closed communities, get offended at the smallest slight and next thing you know their blowing subway stations and buses. There is a simple answer, anyone less than a second generation immigrant that commits a crime, them and their entire immediate family should be deported, if an immigrant can't speak english when they arrive, immediate deportation, regulation on where they can live, no more closed communities, forced intergration, classes on living in a first world country, promote the melting pot, like in north america. Political correctness is a joke, but them politicians can't offend anyone, so they have to suck every minoritys dink, and punish their own people with BS legislation, and forcing uncontrolled immigration on us.

I don't personally.
If enough people really believed the "Nanny State" nobbers were going way too far, then they would work together to remove the government. We elected the state, and we have the power to remove them.
My question would be: "why do those who complain about the Nanny State not do something to remove it?"

Yup on this band wagon. The only thing I can think of is they all want us to pay taxes til we are 110 so they can waste more money on telling us what we can and cannot do. Other than the common sense laws IE don't murder, rob, or violate someone elses person or items; I'm the one that should decide what I can do or say and I'm the one that should accept responsibility for my actions.

It is still out in force. i expect to be called an Appalachian American from now on, because American is just too common to describe me. I need things to be more complex and make everyone feel a little less important around me.
Give me a break, what is wrong with the world?

Yes, but if we put up with it will continue. The latest thing I heard was a housing estate somewhere in Bristol, was told to remove front doormats in case postman/milkman tripped over them! However, they all got together and said no way and the stupid idea was dropped. We have to unite and say no to their suggestions.

The culture of political correctness has gone mad and government policy is making people less tolerant.
PC is way of silencing views and opinions that are disliked.

We need a camera guarding a business, who is scared of being robbed, yet who has 100% of its assets digital which can be hacked and not detected on its video cameras.
We need all video cameras on every street corner, sent to a central location where at any time or place, the president, the EU, and UN can view any street corner, or any person. Face recognition & more.
If someone damages a camera, they are considered harming a police officer. You can also be arrested from hiding your identity from a camera.
