If you are gluten intolerant (wheat, rye, barley) you also may be intolerant of oatmeal. However, I can also agree about fiber and gas.

I love oatmeal but it gives me more gas than beans do. I just can't eat it anymore.

Gas giving foods vary from person to person. In any case, fart up a storm when you can. If you need to save it up during company, then look for an opportunity to let it rip! Otherwise, as you know you will have cramps and pain until you let it go!

Because oatmeal has fiber and fiber is known to make you gassy.
