I had 3 tickets to a college football game. I invited someone I was dating and a gal friend. My friend asked my "date" to get her a drink while the football game was going on. He said no since he was into the game. She asked him again at halftime and he said not now again since he was into the show, as I was too. She got annoyed and commented since she thinks that the guy's position is to take care of the women. I kept quiet because I can see both of their points. But who is right? He was MY date , not hers , BUT I would have thought he would have done it since we are newly dating and usually guys are more than nice at that point.

I just feel bad because II et her make me believe that she was right. I should have stuck up for him and told her to get it herself, or that I would have walked with her to get it. It is so hard to fix things like this. How do I bring it up to tell her how I feel? Should I just move on and keep my mouth shut since it happend 3 days ago?

Honestly---I wouldn't get her a drink either! He wasn't HER date. If you had asked him, I'm sure he would've been happy to get YOU something to drink. I say she was out of line and should have gotten it herself.

I think your friend was in the wrong in this situation. It's not his job to meet her needs and take care of her, it's your friend that u brought along. That would be like if he brought one of his friends and his friend expected u to leave the game to go get him a drink.........its not right. Now if he was up getting u a drink and she asked for one too and he didn't get it then that would be rude.

In this day and age what was wrong with her getting her own drink? If he is your boyfriend why should he pay out for your friend? If you two had been his guests it would have been different.
