looking for what use to be called oilcloth for making chaps for hunting where can I find source?

cowboys in movies would wear coats called "dusters" these were made of a material called oilcloth now my search caomes up with a material for tablecloths.

Not sure if you're looking for fabric or clothing. Also not sure if the links below will help. The oilcloth you're finding under tablecloths should be the same stuff.

You could try a fabric store like Joann Fabric and crafts. They used to carry it.

it is actually canvas cloth, oil cloth is a fuzzy back table cloth...what you want is called canvas duck..
