He is in a cage that is about 8 feet long and pretty high, he can stand on his paws and run back and forth. Also he has three levels he can jump onto each. I let him out for about an hour in the moring, and then about 2 hours in the evening. I try and spend time with him, but I know in the morning he wants more time and I just don't have to give. How to I keep him from being so bored and throwing his litter?

My rabbit did this for a time. Turns out she just wanted her litter box in a different place. After I moved it she was fine. You can get a high sided cat litter box. Or you can go to the lighting dept of a hardware store and get a plastic grid to put over the box. http://www.rabbit.org

Difficult to answer your question when you do not state how big your bunny's cage is, but in general your rabbit is bored. Do you let him/her out for any length of time to play. Does he/she have enough room to move around, stand up on hind legs and generally run around. As an owner of over 19 house rabbits over many years I have found that they are intelligient creatures who love to play and need to interact with other creatures, especially other rabbits. I have always paired mine up with another rabbit, it is well worth it. Watching a pair of rabbits play together is wonderful. However you cannot just buy a rabbit and put it in with another, you have to have them in seperate cages until they get used to each other. Sounds like he's bored senseless. Try giving him something to do other than sit in a hutch and scratch at the floor.
