the weather will make a difference, but so will your age. As you get older, it will stiffen up more and more. Even with plenty of exercise and therapy. Just keep pumping it up and down to get your juices flowing. You will be jogging soon in both cold and warm weather.

did u undergo a knee joint replacement?

Anyhow, its normal for joints to be stiff especially after prolonged immobility. Just apply warm compress to promote circulation and perform range of motion exercise on the affected joint. That should do the trick.

You can take OTC pain-relievers lice aceteminophen for mild pain.

LOL man, guess what I thought! Good grief! Well, it is probably stiff because it hasnt been moved very much during sleep. Anything that is sore or has an injury will get stiff when not in use- lol

Cold weather always makes sore areas hurt. It continues to get worse as you get older. Soak in a warm tub this should help.

My brother, I completely understand the sentiment... I awake every morning like this, and usually have to beg my knees to work.

maybe you should try a heating pad on your knee while you sleep? I bet that'd help. But I'd get one of the 'portable' ones. the cord from an electric one could get tangled up while you sleep.

And with the lack of movement when you sleep, it can get really stiff and hard. Do you creak or pop?
