She is on wellfare and is unemployeed(her choice) her boyfriend who jhas lived there 7 months is also unemployeed(his choice) ex is saying power is being shut off this week. Two kids live there. Doesn't wellfare take care of most of the power bill? should he give her the money or is she full of S**T and just trying to get some play money?

He needs to let her know someone else can't live in the home and not work. If she chooses to live that way then maybe he needs to get his children out of that mess and take care of them his self. No, he shouldn't have to pay for to grown adults not working.

Damn the welfare she needs a job and so long as she got a bf she shouldn't be wanting for nothing! I think she is full of **** and I think that if I were him and I paid my C.S. or whatever the financial agreement was I would threaten her with calling the authorities and charging her as an unfit mother if she didn't get up off her A-$-$ and get some money from somewhere to pay that bill. Then I would go pick up my children and let her and her piss ant bf sit in the dark! Lastly, women like her (I'm in a similar situation) act like there is a debt of loyalty that they are owed by the fathers because they have their children and that they should be compensated to no end. Freak, that! She only asked because she has got comfortable with be a louse and knowing he's not going to say no to her requests for the reasons above! Stop now! Make her feel the pinch and let her know and feel that he's just as much of a father than she the mother and she needs to woman up!

I personally would pay the bill -- but do it myself. Don't give her any money. No welfare doens't necessarly take care of all the bills - you receive a check and it's that from there.
Or, if he thought the money that she already gets is being misused, maybe he can let the lights get shut off and then ask that the children stay with him until they get turned back on. This could be also used in the court if he wanted to fight for custody. Something to think about there.

They both need to be removed from the system as they are able bodied people just bilking the system! Why don't you do the moral thing and report them so they can reimburse the system for the money they illegally received? All these young people are using the system as an excuse not to work because they are lazy! You should not be allowed to collect any social handout without a physicians determination you are unable to work due to physical impairment! All other ABLE BODIED people should have a JOB!!!!! That should include all the 14 year olds pushing around baby carriages too! Old enough for sex, old enough for SELF SUPPORT!!!!

I think she is full of it. By law , they are not aloud to shut the water or electric off, if there are children in the home. Welfare will help with the bills, that is why one gets welfare. Ask her where her welfare $$ is going? It is not going to food, cause she gets food stamps, and it is not going to medical , because she gets a medical card, so where is it going? Maybe to stupid stuff like cigerettes? Maybe to things for her dead beat boyfriend? I would not send her any money and just tell her to let the kids come stay with you if she cannot keep the power on.

I wouldn't rust her. She is looking for a free ride on somebody else's money. Why doesn't her boyfriend work?
I don't know where they live, but in northern climates, they can't legally shut off the power and heat during the cold months, so She is more than likely trying to do a con job.

If he is up to date on paying his child support then it is her tough luck.
They do help with power to a point & only in winter.
People like her live of the symstem because they get by with it she needs to get a job.
If she can't take care of the children then maybe the dad should take them.
I wouldn't like the idea of the children going with out power but if he bails her out, she will keep coming back for more and never stand on her own.
She probably don't want to work cause she gets free medical, free food, free money, free ride.
Not really free our taxes pay for her a** to sit around and watch T.V.

Hey..Welfare is foodstamps and if your boyfriend isn't paying childsupport, then the state is hunting him for it and giving her a small check. If the living conditions for the children are so bad..he needs to come up to the plate. Are you ok with that? After all..if it boils right down to it..what is best?Who cares what she does.Who she lives with. What about the kids and are you willing to take a fulltime role.Is he?Maybe play money isn't so bad then. Or maybe your willing to settle down.Either way..it's a long road for you.Is this what you want?

She's lying or spent the money on other stuff. They give you a set amount of money. She is the one who has to be responsible and pay her bills. If the kids are not his he should not feel responsible for her. If they are his and he is paying his child support he should report her to children's aid.
