Sure, its just fine. If it bothers the wife, maybe she should seek therapy for her insecurities. There are alot of useful articles in the magazines, which may benefit the relationship for both people involved. Also, maybe the wife should thumb through the magazines to get tips on how to fuel the relationship. Most of the trouble in a relationship comes from losing that "rush". A relationship is the toughest job anyone can have. It takes alot of work to make it last.

yeah sure. I had a subscription to Maxim until it became so totally juvenile and childish that I dropped it.

I'm no worse the wear for it. Remember..the girls in those magazines....they're little pixels of colored dots. Nothing more...nothing less. You can kiss them, lick them, talk dirty to 'em...whatever you want and know what? You just get the pages wet. They aren't going to jump out of the magazine and become real. Your husband or boyfriend can oogle them all day and all night...but they don't change. So...let 'em have it.

The answer is simple my child Men are dogs. But before you start to form your own opinions about that statement, take the time to consider the following Like dogs men hold the following very very close to their hearts: The pack - The power, the protection, the props, a society built on the following fundamental principles: The hunt - The game, the challenge which self-actualizes The alpha male hierarchy - A system of self-actualization based on performance during challenges The b*tches - Most valuable possession attainable, believe it or not they are also the life blood of the pack (they gather resources, maintain the territory and usually will remain long after a pack has disassembled and new packs emerge and disassemble), their value to each member of the pack as well as the pack itself follows this very linear equation, where two are twice as valuable as one and so on [x (mate) = x (unfathomable value)] The challenger - Any obstacle which needs to be overcome to protect the way of the pack. Necessary also to actualize the very pack itself (if such a thing is possible, the actualization of a social structure that is) The spoils - Other objects of value, which sometimes also include females. Can be traded/used to attain more valuable objects or the highest of which of coarse being more females. Now, many misunderstandings about men can be explained by the above, ranging from why men like cars, to why men treat women who are openly "slutty" the way they do. but to answer YOUR question, men like maxim because in a way it keeps them in touch with a world-wide "pack" of fellow maxim readers. "The hunt," the search for "spoils" the world wide society deems valuable, in today’s world have goals(challengers) that are quickly changing, maxim helps pack members find out what those goals are and suggest different way to achieve(overcome) them, and become "alpha male (ultimate self actualization)."

Why yes, I do. As a married man I find the photos in those mags a bit tame. The features however do help keep me in the loop with culture. It is hard to maintain a rock and roll lifestyle without up to date info. The cutting edge guys get to go out every night.

I personally don't like that, however some people say if you are secure in your realtionship then it shouldnt matter, but come on these women are near perfect, with their perfect makeup, bodies air brushed. I honeslty dont want to have to compete with that even though I eat very healthy and workout 6 times a week...so I'd say no to my hubby

a man is going to be a man honey. Let him look, then he is going to take all that build up energy and apply it to you! but honestly if your man is not looking, then you should be worried. My husband isn't really into all those magazines but we do sit around judge people if they are hot or not, it is human nature, and definitely a man's nature.
