Im not talking about in Home video tapings, But one of my Neighbors in my apartment complex videotapes me walking my dog or just walking to get the mail....Is this legal? I can see him doing it? Is this legal? Does anyone know where I can find information about the laws in Texas about this?

It's legal. But taping conversation is not. So when prosecutors used to find video tapes of voyeurs catching women undressing or doing other private things they were only able to prosecute if the video also captured sound too... I think the laws have been updated since then though but taping someone out in public is still legal...

Your neighbor must think your hot to spend that much time watching you walk around. Or they have no life to talk about. No it's not illegal to videotape you but I would be worried about what they're going to do with the tape.

If you are out in public, in common areas, it is. They can't use it for commerical or other purposes without a release consent.

He may be required to have a sign to the gist of "Smile! You're on Camera!" to do that. You should probably ask at your local PD or a local attorney.

it is not illegal for video, but
it is to audio tape without consent.
