Japan is very dedicated to economic development, and technology. That is hard enough withotu military threat. Now with north korea (which is VERY Close) HAVING NUKES FOR SURE, im sure they are nervous the same we were when we found Cuba (40 miles from florida) had nukes.

Asian arms race (nukes) is the last thing we want going on. THe world hoped to see the nuclear weapon never used again once its power was demonstrated once to be devistating not only to the peopel hit by it, but the planet.

Japan has chose a peaceful way of living, without nukes.

Japan has a limited miltary force. It has been that way since WW2. North Korea has threatened them so many times.

Why don't they have WMD?

er...because they're the only country in history that has had nuclear weapons used against it. Plus it was written into their constitution following WWII that they would not develop an attacking military.
