I'm searching for a program, which can resize or repartition my Hard disk, without loosing a byte of my data, and I don't want to spend a penny on it. It must be absolutley free.
So far, searched the web, couldnot find any.
Will be grateful, for suggesting one.
Thanks.

I've used Partition Logic from visopsys in the past with success. It's free and does the job.

You can format and repartition using the Storage tool in Windows XP. (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage). However, you WILL lost data if you format or repartition.

While there are programs that will allow you to do some repartitoning (no formating) without loss of data, they are not free.My favorite is PartitionMagic. Will let you shrink or enlarge an existing partition without lose of data. Will also let you merge two partitions while keeping the data in the first partition (not the second). But it is not free.

the software that came with your computer will repartition your hard disk.. but it will also wipe it out so it will be like a new pc, burn all your information onto a disk or 2 and then reformat your drive.. this usually takes me 18 hrs to do when my pc crashes
