ok.here's the problem.there's this guy in school.he's kind of like my best guy friend (only known him for like 2 months but we turned out to be really good friends)& he has a gf who is my friend too.( we three are of the same nationality).he's a really nice guy with great manners & very polite too.well,the thing is that he sometimes does wierd things.like annoying me(i do that too) hanging out with me etc. & he ALWAYS knows when i'm feeling down & trys to cheer me up in the best way he can,calling me up to make me laugh(even though he says he's not good at that)& when i'm a bit silent,he gets soo concerned(i'm a really hyper,fun person by nature)& asks me what's wrong.plus he calls me 'baby' in our language.(i'm not sure if this is normal cos i'm the only girl in our nationality except for his gf)so,this is my question,
is he trying to be more than a good friend or just flirting(he really does love his gf & is a very nice guy)is there any inner motive that i'm unaware of?thanks al

I think you like him and are wishing he likes you back. If he's a really nice guy and loves his girlfriend, he's probably just trying to be a friend to you, and that's it. This is why it's so hard for guys and girls to be friends. One of them is usually more invested than the other and reads everything with a romantic feeling instead of a friend feeling. If he was a girl and doing everything he's doing, would you thing she had a crush on you? I guess that's how I would judge his actions.

Sounds like he is a really good guy friend and you should just relax and quit trying to over analyze things. If your not careful you are going to ruin what you have with both your friends.

People can flirt when their in love with someone else. They flirt when their married, or just dateing.
Just enjoy his and her friendships and don't worry about if it's more. If it is, time will tell.
