Yeah! I know what you mean what a bummer....but with the new models they finally caught up and now offer even more than one light in some freezer section. You have to agree that even just one light in the fridge section is not enough now they offer two the top and bottom area of your fridge and the same for the freezer. Something to watch when you'll be buying your next fridge but be careful take into consideration the size and their energy rating.

I've often wondered the same thing! Maybe its because you don't get into the freezer as much as the fridge in the middle of the night when you would need the light the most. It probably also has something to do with the temp. the freezer needs to maintain. Some things in life we just aren't supposed to know :)

My freezer has a light as well. It only works about half the time (I think there is a short in the button that turns it on). But to answer your question... I guess since some do it is something to look for in buying a freezer.

The freezer is often home to dark forces. Anyone who shines a light in there will be very sorry. Stand well back when opening the freezer door to allow Jack Frost to leap out unseen. If you switch on a light and see him, you'll get a hard winter.

I rent apartments. The smaller refrigerator's / freezers do not have lights in the freezer . The freezer is small and you can see real well in them. The more larger refrigerator / freezers have lights in them. They are usually deeper and bigger. As far as just a freezer, I do not know. I do not have just a freezer. Sorry.

just like cars, in the 50s, cars dont have read windows nor side windows ( explains why my grandaddy drive without using them even though we got a newer car with windows), eg, Morris Minor as the designers havent got a clue on the uses of mirror except for make-ups and shaving .... maybe your fridge is an older model ?? or it might be true, as some users answered here that your light bulb burned out .... also could be true is that your stuff in the fridge block out the light ....

Probably the light bulb would not be able to with stand the temperature in the freezer.

The ice pixies only work in your fridge, its too cold for them in the freezer.
Apparently the unions are in negotiations to extend the working practises and expansion into the freezer compartment. As long as the pixes are allowed to wear long johns and remember to tuck the vests into their pants!
