You are your own artist. As a fellow writer, I must tell you that it is very easy to become distracted. Remember though that YOU must have discipline at some point in the formulation of your literary painting. An artist may leave the proverbial palette a hundred times before the right flow surfaces. So, too with your writing. You must find a special place to write first. You might need to set a time to write. If you do not have the discipline to do so, then you may need to purchase a dickey (dictaphone) so that you will always have access to your art -anywhere from the bathroom to just taking a walk,. The point is this. If you are a procrastinator as a writer, then you will never be published. You must write even when you do not want to and again I say, READ Writers Magazines such as Publishers Weekly and Writers Digest, The Writer and Poets and Writers. Go to the writers reference section in the book store (I go to Barnes and Noble) and envelope yourself in our world. A book called The Write Brain is an excellent resource, as well as one called Writer. These are mind exercises that will help you to understand where we come from as far as our writing. Most of all - Do not stop writing. Keep a pad with you and begin a journal. The Writers Truth is no excuse. I made that up but it is a proverb to live by. Mist

Well its very difficult to work at home there are many distractions, its also psychological, for example you get up a certain time to go to work you dress a certain way. SO what you do is you set your alarm clock as if your getting up for work, get dressed as if your getting dressed for work go into a spare room or somewhere that your quite isolated, and put on your work face this should help. If your sitting at home in your PJ's your more relaxed your brain thinks its a day off, if you sit in the living-room you get distracted whats on the TV in the kitchen you'll want to get up make something to eat then you have to tidy up. So follow my advise and it should help.

Try to get a literary agent. If you get one, the agent will call you almost every day to make sure you are writing your book.
