I currently have your same problem--a mouse on the loose in the house. I've caught a glimpse of it once and have also noticed its handiwork. The little fellow is very clever too! I have put traps in the paths I know the mouse has taken and poison under the sink (where I have found gnaw marks). All I can do is wait and hope and perhaps rearrange and rebait the traps occasionally. It is said mice often tread the same paths over and over, so if you know where it is in general, you might place traps, bait towards the wall, in that area. Hope that helps!

P.S. I have tried glue traps in the past, but after watching a live mouse struggling on one, I stopped. I'd rather kill 'em cleanly, and those glue traps do appear to make them suffer a long time.

Or a trap. BUT.. throw the trap out when you catch the mouse. Removing it is just too gross.

I advise against those sticky pads. They are less humane than a trap.

Try placing a couple of mouse traps out and using peanut butter for bait.

I use the glue traps, they work better then a regular mouse trap. It seems the mice are getting smarter these days.

They sell those little wooden things with a wire bail and a spring.
The neat thing about them is they go SNAP and you know they worked.
