does watching the news make you more or less worried about crime?

Watching the news makes me more aware of crimes being committed, but does not make me any more paranoid about crime. Crimes happen, the news just makes you aware of those that did.
Also, I think the media tends to broadcast mostly "bad news", and not enough positive stories.

yes there a element of worry attached to watching the news , but on making it public it does sometimes help solve more crimes and keep people aware of whats happening in the world

More aware. I don't want to bury my head in the sand and act like it doesn't exist. I want to arm myself with knowledge so I can protect my family. Of course, working as a Police Officer, I am aware anyway, but I still watch the news for any additional info.

Neither, it is what it is.
And if I really thought about all the crime that was actually going on...aside from what they told us on the news; I'd become agoraphobic.

I guess if the are in or near my town I would be more afraid if they aren't I am less afraid and I know where to stay away from.

i guess a bit more cause youi know what some people are able to do which you might not have thought of before but i still think its good to stay informed about everything thats going on.

It doesn't worry me that much,what worries me is why you don't use the spellcheck.You spelt psychedelic wrong,you should change it.

sure I worry about it,& try to prevent it from happening to me or my loved ones..
some things cannot be prevented I know,but knowing they exist is a step up on it..

no,it does not change me at all:again i allreay told you that the crime rate where i live is low.
