I just do not know what to do. I work full-time, but after work with the kids homework, I do have time available for at-home work. Are there any real opportunities for income to be generated at home? I have cut all expenses down to the minimums, but still slowly sink each month. I am looking for real advice please before this situation spins too far out of control. This could not be more stressful at this point, as you can likely guess since I am resorting to writing here. I am trying to stay positive, but I can see what is coming if I can't fix this situation. My background is that I have 2 yrs to go toward an Education degree at an IU extension campus, work FT, have 2 kids, HS and one in college, and still own my own home with a mortgage. I have stopped taking classes for now, although I know teaching is my calling. Email, or contact me through IM please, with any real ideas or thoughts. Thank you for taking your time to consider and writing me about any possible solutions.

OK you can start a side business because it is getting near the holidays if you can do wood work make hand made Christmas ornaments and decorations for the yard or trees and sell them to friends and family plus neighbors who have parties and like to decorate for the holidays.A real cute Halloween decoration I use to sell but don't any more is I would go get old pallets and put bats and ghosts pumpkins things like this on them first paint the pallet white so it sticks out it looks real cute in front of a house with jack-o-lanterns and straw extra around it. I also use to buy candles and sell them on the side. You could rent out an extra room by the week. You could lease out land for garden space depending if you have land with your house. There are lots of things to be done to make those pennies go further also such as cutting down on goodies and watching the gasoline tank. You need to be well organized and get all your ducks in a row. You could bake cookies and make candy: have the kids have a cookie sale also back yard carnivals work pretty well and kids love to get into this. A haunted house is wonderful this time of year and your daughter and her friends could get alto of fun out of this also.

Honestly I would have to say 'yes'. It always depends on the families behavior but if the child has both the mother and father they can gain more knowledge and experience. The financial aspect and time with the family is also helped by having more than one parent. I'm not saying that single parents can't do a good job of it but it is more difficult to do without the extra help. If you are in a good relationship your partner will help you emotionally and in many other ways. If you are sick your partner can cook the dinner and take care of the kids after work. If there is a problem with your child at school a partner will be there at the meetings with you and help you to sort out the situation. And whether you have a son or a daughter it is always useful to have a male and female perspective on life. I have to say that personally I want my children to be raised by two loving parents, not one. Maybe I am wrong but I don't think I will ever change my view on this.

Im in a similar situation.Im reading this book you can probly get at the library. ebay for dummies. You can sell anything on ebay even things around your house maybe depending on what you have. Also could you maybe tutor kids in your home or else theirs for one hour you could put up a ad at the grocery store for free probably.Dont forget to take advantage of food stamps, your local food bank .best wishes.Ps I was told to read the book by a woman I met while on vacation in mississippi. She had acheived total independence by selling books jewelry, hankies and a variety of things she got at auctions and thrift stores. She claimed to have dug some really good stuff out of the trash .People collect every thing postcards ,letters you name it.Not saying you should become a dumpster diver just saying there is hope.Im reading the book and making baby steps toward doing that myself.A digital camera is important.I hope you find your niche.

I once tried working for a mail order catalogue company, rather like Avon. They promised a good income. It meant going door to door delivering catalogues to homes and going back in two days to collect the catalogues and any orders. You then order the good and deliver them when they arrive. There is an initial outlay for the catalogues which you have to pay for. I tried it for two weeks, but because of my shift work, I found that it wasnt for me. It is a farce in one word and I advice you against any work like this. You could also consider working part-time in the evening or at weekends. Do not lose hope and keep trying.
