I think that this movie is far better than 'Matrix'.
I'm just bored with the -you are the chosen one,you will save us,only you can prevent the world from the disaster...you know the drill.
Anyway the cast in 'Equilibrium' is excellent-everyone of them and the story is interesting with lots of action and the music is breath-taking!
Really love this movie!

The thing I don't like about Matrix is that it
was designed to attract lots of people
and the characters are plain.

While, I love The Matrix, I thought that Equilibrium was fantastic. I had the day off of work when I rented it and I watched it twice in a row and then went back and watched some of my favorite action scenes again.
I was excited for Ultraviolet because it was from the same people who made Equilibrium, but for some reason, it just wasn't nearly as good. With the exception of Milla Jovovich looking way hot, the rest of the movie was boring and I thought it tried way too hard to be flashy. It would have made a great videogame though.
If you like Equilibrium check out District B13. It's not really sci-fi, but it's got lots of great martial arts action in it.

Both are good movies. The first Matrix was excellent and Keanu Reeves is a great actor but I agree with you. Equilibrium was also a great movie. What's that actors name again? Anyway, he's also a great actor. I always watch movies that's got great special effects, so both movies were awesome.

they are both awesome movies! but, i think the matrix is probably better. since it's older and more original.
