This morning i took my friend to Stansted Airport, left the house at 2.30am and got to the airport by 5.00am with no problems at all. Said goodbye would see them in a week, turned around and back up the A14 Northbound. The driving conditions turned bad, rain and fog and i slowed down to 60 mph, some lunatic come past me at around 100mph, clipped the truck in front of me and spun into the armco on either side of the dual carriageway bouncing this way and that, somehow i managed to miss the car, watching in my rear view mirror as total carnage appeared in it i wondered how i wasn't involved in a major accident...

Do you think its the luck of the draw or was i did i see it coming

COMMUTERS in west Suffolk faced “considerable delays” this morning after a lorry and car were involved in a collision on the busy A14.

The accident, which happened on the westbound carriageway of the road between Kentford and the A142, involved a lorry and a Vauxhall Vectra.

The lorry also collided with the central reservation. As a result, both lanes of the road were closed and diversions put in place.

A police spokesman said it was likely that the road would remain closed until midday. There were no serious injuries in the accident.

very last time i had a premonition replaced into before 9/11. properly i'm no longer particular if it counts, yet a buddy and that i have been discussing the dual towers (in a business enterprise sense) and that i in basic terms had a random urge to say "you imagine they are gonna get taken out?" yet i withheld that urge. Kinda satisfied i did :x

Sheer chance - although I'm glad to hear you were neither involved nor hurt, but it just goes to show that there are STILL those prats out there who drive with absolutely no consideration for themselves let alone others. I just wonder exactly WHAT he could see in rain and fog even if he was only doing 80 and not 100!

I think you saw it coming mate. Some people have physic feelings like that. Afterall us humans only use a tiny fraction of our brains. I feel that you are one of the luckier ones in life. Next time you get any sort of premonition, i would stay at home mate. Seriously.

Takecare. Oh, and i am pleased to hear you got out the accident ok. x

Trust your instincts. I have driven a motorbike for over ten years, you get weird feelings, say approaching a blind corner, something says inside take it slow, something is comming, 8 times out of 10 it's right. Some people feel things.

No it wasn't luck of the draw or the premonition.
It was you, using your driving skills and intelligence (slowing down in bad road conditions).

Be more careful this few day until the premonition feeling is gone. It is very stupid to speed in a lousy condition day. It maybe just luck.

It wasn't your time, and you were given a glance into the future which probably saved your life.
We all have this gift, a gut feeling, something doesn't feel right. Always listen to your inner voice, it's never wrong.

Spooky or what, I would say you have a good gut when it comes to instinct and someone watches over you too, glad you had the foresight to drive carefully and lived to tell us on here.
