He, and the army he commands, have all the resources, including food and weapons.
I'm sure any attempt to organize a resistance is crushed, mercilessly.
Those who have power will go to great lengths to keep it.
I pity those people too. I can't even begin to imagine how horrible life is there.

Yes. North Koreans are short and malnourished. This is not propaganda or bias. It's fact. The North Korean army actually reduced the minimum height requirement from 150cm to 142cm a few years ago. The problem of starvation in North Korea is actually causing children to not grow as much as they should. North Korean adults have the physical build of an elementary school child. I'd feel bad for any North Korean soldier who got into a close quarters fight with one of those hefty American blokes. It wouldn't be fair at all.

Because fanatical as he may be, he also has control of one of the largest standing armies in the world. If the people revolted with the support of the military they could remove him from power, but possibly at an even greater cost to themselves. However, without the support of the military it would be a civilian blood bath.

Referring to the others answers they said because there is no supplies coming in to the country they are going to attack SK and/or kill the peasants who want a coup. We would always get the CIA to kill him like they done before. How do u no JFK wasnt murdered by CIA hired goons. If they have the resources to bring down the most respected war hero and president in the modern world why cant they bring down a scummy litte dictator who strangely enough looks like someone in my classes.
