Given how mind-boggling large the Universe is, then mathematically speaking, yes, there is a very good chance that there are other lifeforms out there. However will we discover them in our lifetime? Probably not unless its some kind of bacteria on a Mars or something.

Perhaps a lifeform may not be a biological entity. Could some sorts of energy fields be evidence of a lifeform existing in another dimension?

Oh yes, I do believe in life forms on other planets!
The Stuff that made us and this planet are all around us in the universe. "Life" seems to want to happen, to spring up and survive in every single place it possibly can on this planet (such as in the deepest, darkest oceans and in, er, in my refrigerator???).
Conditions on other planets may be horrible or dire, dark and miserable, like the bottom of the ocean, or cold and -- smelly? -- like my refrigerator -- but Life will find, and almost certainly has found, a way, even on those weird planets.
Intelligent life, well, that's another question.

When you say 'from' are you asking about life on earth coming from other planets, or do you just mean life 'on' other planets.
There is a theory that primitive life could spread through space on lumps of rock. About a dozen meteorites on earth have been identified as martian in origin, so the process of rocks being smacked off one planet and landing on another seems to have been substantiated. This is combined with the discoveries of bacteria deep in Earth rocks and the impressive resistance of bacteria to huge extremes of conditions suggests that bacteria could survive such a journey. So far I believe all this is just theoretical and no examples have been found.
As to whether life exists on other planets (or even on satellites of planets), the likelihood seems to increase year by year as we learn more about how early in Earth's evolution primitive life forms appeared. Even in very hostile conditions life seems to occur.
Spectroscopic studies have discovered simple organic compounds in space. This isn't particularly strong evidence one way or the other, but again is shows that simple hydrocarbons form quite easily in a cauldron of chemicals that are stirred up by energetic particles.
Given the unimaginable vastness of the number of stars and the high likelihood of planet formation (which strengthened proof from discovery of planets outside the solar system) I think it highly likely there is life beyond the solar system (and even a small possibility of life within the solar system beyond the earth).
I don't think it is really a matter of 'belief' - like believing in supernatural entities - it is a matter of evidence and rational extrapolation. If you like, its a working hypothesis ... a best bet.

Believe is hardly the right question.
I believe in GOD, but I only THINK that there are lifeforms on other planets !

in the infinitly huge and old universe we live in, im positive there is life out there somewhere other than here. however it may be millions of light years away and several hundred thousand years away from being intelligent life.
also check out the fermi paradox for another point of view

There life in other planets apart from the solar system which we belong to. There are other systems as well and there are many more universes as well. God has made it and controls it. To understand this you need to understand GOD. To begin understanding God, you need to understand spirituality.

Yes it would be arragant to think that we are alone in the universe...what a waste of space that would be!

Your question reminded me of this.
Hello.
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone home?
Come on, now.
I hear you're feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.
