if a person tells you that he/she is better than you, what would you do?

if a person with an unpleasant attitude thinks she is so much better than you because you are still single and she's married, what would you tell her? would you tell her what you really think of her or would you just keep silent and let her think what she likes to think?

Did she just get married? If so give he about 2 years and she'll be wishing she was single. Keep silent, time will tell.

She obviously must not be that happy if she's your friend and continues to put you down. She's probably trying to make you feel as low as her. Cheer up girl! I'm sure you're a pretty nice person to be on here asking what you should do and not just lashing out at her, like I would. I don't give rotten people a chance.

It actually wouldnt bother me at all, cuz if this person thinks shes better cuz shes married, well then good for her, i just dont really care a whole lot what other people think of me. If im happy being single, then im happy, and it dont matter what anyones says. Your marital status does not define your happiness and neither do other people, so just dont listen to them and dont let them get you down, alright? :)

You have all the freedom in this world which she doesn't have be happy you are single and never compare yourself to anyone. You are the best and will remain the best. Marriage is not the destiny, its the need of a companion to walk along with you in the path of the Life.

Some people are just natural "Show-off" and like to put others down to increase their own low self-esteem.

Personally, I would ignore him/her. Mainly because I believe in my own strength. Other people can adopt any perception of me but as long as I believe in myself, I will not be affected.

I would not be bothered to voice my opinion to him/her as I believe that this is their ultimate goal - to get you agitated. If you argue back that will mean that you are affected by their opinion and the other party is winning.

I believe that "a person with true capabilities will not be eager to show" and will never under-estimate their enemy.

In order to fight a battle, you must know your enemy's strength and weakness by "keeping your friends close but you enemy closer".

So my advise is to be friendly to her and do not get affected by whatever she thinks or say.

When we compare ourselves with other people, we inevitably end up performing at a significantly lower level. Granted, we sometimes feel better about ourselves for a few seconds or even minutes. But when we become convinced that we can feel good about ourselves only if we perform at a higher level than someone else, we ultimately lose our focus and end up feeling empty.

There's really no point causing arguments, so I would just keep quiet and inwardly feel good that you know different, and are obviously a better person than her because you don't feel the need to point it out.

Ignore it! She is trying to make you feel bad to make herself feel better. What kind of a person does that? A very, VERY insecure one. You should kill her with kindness and inside maybe pity her a bit. You know your attitude is better!
