Is anyone as tired as I am with these movie producers, directors, what have you that seem to think that they must have profanity spewing out of the mouths of young children in their movies? I'm no prude and I worked in a factory for many years where I heard every slang word in the english language and a few foreign, we called it "shop talk" and it was tolorated even though shop rules warned of possible reprimands.

In the movies I first took note with Speilbergs "ET" where some idiot thought it would be cute in the scene where the mother and kid's are eating a pizza at the dinner table to have one of the young children make a comment to his little sister " Drew Barymore" about five years old at the time that her breath was that of someone whom had just peformed oral sex if you get the drift.

Last night I rented a DVD with Nicholas Cage " The Weatherman" I did not catch the credits but obviously the producers must have hired the same idiot to give children vulgar lines.

If the line has no bearing on the story; then it must be some sick perversion on the part of the producers and directors.

Very true. I've noticed a pattern where kids swear yet the adults don't. In the "Princess Bride" the kid hearing the story swears and blasphemes several times but none of the adults, (whether 'real' or in the story being told), use any foul language.

To me it is not cute to hear the children say these lines. I guess the writers are thinking of what sells. It is sad though that the youngers actors are having to do this. Sign of times it seems.

Vulgarity from children in movies just for vulgarities sake is wrong, I agree. But if taken in the context of the story it is sometimes ok.

All they care about is making money. You must write to all in the movie idustry and tell them how you feel.
