Guinea pigs food is made of special blends of timothy hay, vitamin C, alfalfa, and these are what they NEED to survive. They CANT eat anything else.
Feed them only pellets made especially for guinea pigs, unlimited timothy hay -- and they also need at least 1 cup of fresh veggies per day, per guinea pig.
Lettuce (not iceburg), green leafy lettuces, limited parsley, limited tomatoes, limited carrots; etc.

Most likely the dog food is made up with ingredients that can not easily be handled by the guinea pigs stomach.

Guinea pigs should eat a fruit or vegetable with vitiman C such as lettuce, carrots, broccoli, peppers, or apples, and timothy hay, and pellet-form food especially made for guinea pigs.

Guinea pigs are vegetarians. They should NEVER be fed an animal protein based food like dog food.

Guinea pigs need a constant supply of fresh water, a supply of pellets, and small servings of fresh fruit and fresh veggies. Guinea pig pellets contain alfalfa, timothy hay, are formulated for guinea pig dietary needs, including vitamin C, which a guinea pig can not produce on their own.
