I saw an image of what looked like a face on one of my living room walls (no I hadn't been drinking) it was just a coincidence, the markings etc on the wall had formed a shape that rather resembled one......... BUT WHY ARE YOU ASKING THIS ON HERE.......your making yourself sound rather strange but having looked at some other people questions you don't seem so strange after all..by the way you hadn't just hung a new mirror or something onto your stripped wall, that image you see would probably be....wait for (drum rolls) YOU, ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too much alcohol consumption?!?
Some one papered over a face an artist had drawn?!?
You've a secret mirror behind your wallpaper?!?
Maybe you were asleep?!?

I admit. I have seen similar things even without tearing the wallpaper off the walls. Looking over my my monitor right now I can make out a face in my wallpaper. But I know that it is only my mind playing tricks on me.

Remember when you last looked up at the stars? There are whole star constellations named in books. You can trace these yourself if you want to (with or without a book). It's like playing join-the-dots. You can generally see what the picture is even before you've started joining the dots. If you have enough time on your hands you can actually pick out lots of different images on your wall or in the night sky. Some people even pick out images in clouds. See what you can do when it is next light where you are. Look up at the clouds and wonder what their shapes remind you of.

It can get scary when the recognition tool you have in your brain picks out something you recognize as your late Aunt Mary (as an example). Has she come back from the dead to haunt you? Have you been cursed to have her face watch you for all eternity? Or is it just that your mind is playing tricks on you? Try eliminating a couple of the dots that make up her face and then you'll see that she will vanish. Then uncover them and she reappears. If you can make her face appear and disappear at will then it is definitely nothing supernatural.

I hope this helps.

Its the way the paste set under the wallpaper last time it was decorated probably, wallpaper leaves weird and wonderful shapes and silhouettes when its stripped off walls and you can make all sorts of shapes, faces and things out, don't worry about it you will probably see something else before you put new paper up.

Strange things happen like that. I once drew a volcano, and out of the eruption I saw Sigmund Freud. I think we are very in tune with ourselves and our surroundings. I also believe we have a good imagination, and are probably smart people.

It was the pot noodle you threw at you husband before you decorated last time. It formed it's self into a perfectlly shaped face.

If it's not it is time to call in the man from the Pru.

Human imaginations always make random patterns into some kind of figure.
