Although everyone thinks it's Steven Hawking with an IQ of slightly over 200, it's actually Marilyn vos Savant with and IQ of 228. She's the woman who answers questions in the Sunday's paper Parade magazine.

Guinness apparently has recorded this:
"Guinness Book of World Records, 1986, "Highest I.Q." States the Mega Test score of Jeff Ward: 43. Three Mega Society Members with I.Q. scores of 197 (on tests other than the Mega) are: Christopher Phillip Harding, Dr. Ferris Eugene Alger, and Dr. Johannes Dougles Veldhuis."
Of course, IQ is often arguable.
