Yes, that is correct but it assumes at zero DTA there is a payout of -18.4006

Yes.[You have to add less 18.4006 since you are referring to final dividend payout] This is however explanation of the equation. What is the meaning of regression? It is basically an algebraic expression that relates two variables{in this case DTA and dividend pat out}based on experimental/observed data arrived at by mathematical methods.
