No offensive language please as I'm already inundated with foul mouths opening their traps because of bringing the zionist issues out. This is no freedom of speech in the so called civilized world. It seems to be ok to swear, criticise, belittle, bemoane muslims and arabs and Islam, but the slightest hint of critising jews is a crime in the western world. How can this be anti semetic. Surly this is undemocratic or it "do as i say not as i do."

Okay here is the deal as I see it. I will certainly not "shout you down" or attempt to discredit you.

If you have a problem with the way Israel was started and believe it was unfair to the Palestinians then you can make a case without looking like an anti semite. But it's worthwile to point out that the Jews were willing to split the land when the Brits left but the Palestinians said "no way, we will take our chances fighting"

I get the feeling that if you polled the average Israeli on the street and asked them "Would you rather oppress the Palestinians and occupy your Arab neighbors or just have them just forget about you and never bother you again?" Don't you think that the Israelis would pick peace?

What if they put their differences aside and actually started working together to develop a Pan Middle Eastern Economic power that utilized Israeli technical know how and trained a sklilled Arab work force. Man those Arab dictatorships would just hate that because once the "Joe Arab" started getting a taste of what being economically empowered felt like, they would begin to question their own national leaderships and realize what the difference between Democracy and Dictatorships actually mean. They will realize that their leaders unite them against the common zionist enemy so they won't pay attention as to what lousy leaders they are.

To actually answer your question-MOST but not all who are Staunch Anti Zionists also have no love for jews in general. Because most Zionists are Jews and almost all Jews are Zionists please see that the 2 go hand in hand and when 1 is critisized it seems that both are. Right or wrong this is why the sensitivity is there.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Are you seeking other opinions or are you making a statement? This is a question and answer forum. Are you even seeking input or are you simply trying to stir up anger?

Out of curiosity... How does one be constructively critical of anyones religious beliefs? Isn't that kind of contrary to the philosophy of trying to convert someone from one religion to another by mutually agreed upon discussion of religion? To me that is constructive.

Also, if this is about religion then why is it being posted in the Political Forum?

If you asked your question in a thought provoking non-confronting way people may not get upset. I see a lot of questions that the majority of people may not agree with but because they're presented without accusations they stay on the site and are answered.
