Discharge changes through the month depending on when you are going to ovulate as discharge becomes clear and thin, after you have ovulated then it becomes thick again. ~It is thin so sperm can swim easier to get to the egg, you may experience a sharp pain on one side of your womb this is ovulaton although not all women feel it!. If however you have thick white discharge with an irritation it could be you have Thrush ( this won't smell ) or you could have a infection called 'bacterial vaginosis' which will cause a bad fishy like odour and greyish thick discharge. This will need to be treated with anti-biotics. And it can be prevented by only using mild cleansing soap (tea tree from Sainsburies) and not washing too much as you will wash away the natural ph balance of your vagina, thrust can be treated with cream but go and see your local GUM clinic for advice. Good luck.

It could be an infection but clear discharge is normal. The odor is more of a problem. Is it actually a foul odor or is it just the smell of vagina? If it's really foul, then it's likely an infection and you should see your doctor especially if you are sexually active. It could be a sexually transmitted infection but, relax. Most STI's are easily cured with a course of antibiotics especially if caught early. Your partner(s) will need to be treated as well.

Foul odor? Yep sounds like a yeast infection. Better see the doc.

Yeast is usually a white, lumpy discharge.... but what you describe could be a bacterial infection. It ONLY clears up with medicine.... go to your doctor today.

Bacterial vaginosis is an abnormal vaginal condition that is characterized by vaginal discharge and results from an overgrowth of normal bacteria in the vagina.

Bacterial vaginosis is not passed by sex and is not dangerous, but it can cause disturbing symptoms.

Symptoms of bacterial vaginosis are vaginal discharge and odor.

In diagnosing bacterial vaginosis, it is important to exclude other serious infections, such as gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Treatment options for bacterial vaginosis include oral antibiotics and vaginal gels.

It sounds to me like a light yeast infection. When I get those, my Doc says to eat a lot of yogurt. The reason for this is it has good bacteria that helps to clear infection from your body. This could also be the beginning of a kidney infection. In this case, your back will start to be sore and you will need to drink lots of cranberry juice and water. (those two will clean you our also, so drink them for either instance to clear your body of the bacteria.)

I would go see a doctor because it could be an infection or something else. There isn't enough informaiton here to make a diagnosis, but a doctor can!

Could be a mild case of bacterial vaginosis.
Lots of watery discharge can also be an indication that you are ovulating.
It makes it easier for the sperm to swim in.

Sounds like a ossible STD. If you are burning while urinating and you see bumps that are sore... go have yourself checked out. It could also be a yeast infection,
