Who cares, I'm a Yorkshire lass and I love southerners as much as northerners, no one is above me and no one beneath me, enough hatred in this world without bringing it into England too.

In my job I deal with people all over the UK and the people with superior attitudes seem to pretty much live in London, I don't mean ALL 'Cockerneys' BTW some are from other countries (and not just the non-English speaking ones!!!) They are Astounded when you ask them what town SE1 or N1 etc, etc refers to and are shocked when you tell them that you are unfamiliar with London. I spoke to one man with an i.q. of ten who couldn't grasp a basic concept. I heard him muttering 'fick Geordie's init ' under his breath.

Frostyg0.... i don't know where you got that from. I live in the south, and was born and brought up in the south. I have always heard it said that people are friendlier up north.

I think that there is not so much difference nowadays, especially if you compare big city south with big city north, or small town council estate south with small town council estate north.

Better? No.............Better paid? yes, probably.........Better standard of living? maybe
