Wow! What A question. I have a 8 yr. old and a 5 yr. old and I always get them educational toys. V Smiles are on the top of the list this year. With all the action hero's and fighting toys out there today that kids go for this is a great way for them to play a game with there favorite character and to actually learn something too. They love watching TV as any child does and I try to keep it to a minimal. This video game will let them watch TV while playing a game that is good for them.

i wont be buying toys this year. both my girls are in high school and have asked for a laptop each. and i have to say thats all they have asked for. i feel its unnecessary to spend a lot of money on children year in year out when most of the stuff they get lies forgotten after new year. both ny girls want lap tops which i have been saving very hard for and its something that will help with their studies. of course i will be getting other small items for them but i wont be spending a fortune on bits and pieces. i'm very lucky tho in the respect my girls never ask for a lot anyway. this makes it all the more special when i can save enough to get them what they want

Won't be spending a fortune as feel unnecessary. Will get them something appropriate for their age - sometimes children are encouraged to be adults before their time.
So much girlie and boy stuff available haven't really decided yet as to exactly what.

I will be buying my son a buzz lightyear toy as he is absolutely obsessed with him and i will probably get him a couple of puzzles or books.

It has to be the Evel Knievel Deluxe Dare Devil Stunt Set (see Amazon & Play.com).
I had it as a kid back in the 1970's and it was FANTASTIC !!!!!

Our favourite children will get a lovely lollipop and a signed photo.
