With education and proper health care, it would be insane to wage war. War destroys everything. The world unfortunately is run on the policy of destroy, build and destroy again. If that does not happen, just unleash some new thingamagic and wait a few decades for it to show its ugly head. Then, more research to find an antidote for it.
War makes the warmongers rich. If you look at it, destuction means more business for the big shots to rebuild again. human life is just so much of cannon fodder. We know that from Vietnam where 56000 American soldiers died.

This govt does not want the people educated because if they are they will read and question authority.
They don't want people to have health benefits because if it's hard to get medical the military offers it for the enlisted and their families. This is a way to keep a volunteer military.
People who own small businesses join the military just so they can have medical for their families while the business gets up and running.

The population of the U.S. is now 300,000,000.
If we payed 130 dollars a month for insurance on each of these persons for health care, the cost would be 468,000,000,000 a year.
Since there are about half of those who have some kind of health care through their employer, or make enough for their health care to be covered by their salary, I would assume that the remaining persons without health care, or cannot afford it would cost about the same as the wars we currently finance.

totally agree, In Korea...every school has the same budget(excluding colleges). The education standards are the same everywhere, and as for Health , everyone pays a $40.00 premium a year for health insurance, and a $10.00 co-payment at time of service. Everyone gets the same care,,,rich or poor. I don't see why it's so hard here.

It would have been far better to have put that money into moving America towards energy independence. Since this entire terrorists thing is being fueled by our need for Arabian oil, it would have make more sense to eliminate that need.

That would be a great idea if the money was actual money and not in the form of loans - borrowed on the backs of your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc.
