where i live grocery stores will give them to you for free if you go in early in the morning and ask them. pretty much any store would give them to you if you ask them not to crush them and to save them for you.....most places have to pay to get someone to take them away so they would be happy to give them to someone in need....

Yeah, just ask at customer services and they should be able to sort you out. They don't normally keep large quatities of boxes though, as they present a fire risk, so be prepared for them to be flat-packed.

Why not - just ask politely and I'm sure they will oblige.
p.s. Also ask at some other shops - they may be kind enough to let you have some also.
Tell them you are doing your bit for the environment by re-cycling their rubbish.
